Shweta Rajpal Kohli
As the head of Public Policy for Salesforce, Shweta is responsible for the cloud-computing company’s relationships with government officials, regulators, industry bodies and influencers in India & South Asia. Before joining Salesforce, she led a team of public policy professionals at Uber across South Asia.
Shweta transitioned to the corporate world in 2016 after a rich and exciting career as an award-winning journalist and TV news anchor for two decades. A British Chevening Scholar, she was invited by the US government for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Fellowship in 2009. She was also chosen among 45 global leaders for the Asian Forum on Global Governance (AFGG) Fellowship in 2013. She was named as IMPACT’s 50 Most Influential Women in Media, Advertising and Marketing in 2018, and was ranked top 10 most influential women on Twitter from among them.
Shweta has completed mid-career programs at the Wharton Business School, INSEAD Business School and the University of Westminster, London. She has received several prestigious honours including the Ramnath Goenka Award for business journalism by President Pratibha Patil, Business Standard-Seema Nazareth Award for young print journalists by President KR Narayanan, Young Women Achievers Award by FICCI and Business Communicator of the Year by ABCI.
As the Business Editor of NDTV, she regularly interviewed many global bigwigs including Sheryl Sandberg, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Indra Nooyi, Richard Branson, Jeffrey Immelt and Raghuram Rajan. Shweta is seen as a champion of gender equality and is a prolific speaker on subjects like Women in Tech and Women at the Workplace.
